Aviation cybersecurity for teams without a security department.

I help eVTOL and UAS developers, small operators and MROs answer the security questions that authorities, investors and customers ask, and see where GNSS interference and ADS-B anomalies actually touch their operation. The advice is grounded in my peer-reviewed research on 377 billion ADS-B messages, not on a generic checklist.

Services

Five things I do, each with a deliverable you keep.

Fixed-scope engagements. Every one ends with something you can hand to a regulator, an investor or your own team. Most clients start with the exposure analysis or the readiness assessment.

  1. GNSS and ADS-B integrity exposure analysis

Start hereFor operators, UAS and eVTOL developers

Where GNSS interference and surveillance anomalies actually occur on the routes and in the regions you fly, measured against the same global baselines as my published research. You get maps and rates of GNSS gaps, position deviations and ADS-B anomalies for your operating area, and recommendations for procedures or design. Two weeks, fixed scope, no access to your systems needed.

  2. Security program and readiness assessment

    For builders and operators

I review your systems, people and obligations against the framework that fits you: NIST CSF 2.0, ISO/IEC 27001 or EASA Part-IS, in two to three weeks. You get a prioritized risk register and a 90-day roadmap your own team can run.

  3. Threat models and security requirements for C2 links, GNSS, ground stations and software updates, written to line up with DO-326A/ED-202A so your certification team isn’t surprised late. You get a threat model, a requirements set and my review notes.

  4. A one-page incident response plan, playbooks for ransomware and data loss, and a tabletop exercise I run with your team, so the first time you use the plan isn’t the real thing.

  5. Role-based sessions for pilots, technicians, engineers and office staff. I taught network security in a classroom before I worked in aviation. Includes phishing simulations with a before-and-after report.

Why Mevocopter

Three things you won’t get from a generalist security firm.

The advice comes from measurement

My peer-reviewed work on GNSS interference and ADS-B integrity, and open data and code (GET-25) that anyone can check.

Regulator-facing paperwork holds no surprises

Before aviation, I prepared Health Canada and FDA submissions for medical-device makers. Certification and compliance documents are familiar ground.

Sized for small teams

No junior hand-offs and no enterprise minimums. You work directly with me, on fixed-scope engagements or a part-time retainer.

About

Research-grade expertise, one person accountable.

I worked in computer support and network security in Israel, where I also taught network design and security at a college. In Canada I built companies that included helping medical-device makers prepare Health Canada and FDA approval documentation, then led the concept design of a hybrid eVTOL air ambulance, shaped by interviews with medevac operators across Canada and the US.

I founded Mevocopter Aerospace in 2022 to bring that mix of security, regulatory and aircraft-program experience to the newest and smallest parts of aviation.

Research partnerships

I’m open to funded research collaboration.

Universities, air navigation service providers and industry groups working on surveillance integrity, GNSS interference or UAS safety data: I contribute data pipelines, statistical modelling and aviation domain knowledge.
